Australia student visa refund policy - Joint media release with the Hon. Josh Frydenberg MP

This notice is in regard to the information that many of you might have seen shared on social media - about visa fee refunds by Australia.

The Australian Government announced students who arrive in Australia between 19 January 2022 and 19 March 2022 will be eligible for a refund of their visa application charge. This also applies to dependent visa applicants who travel during this period.

Yes it is true; the visa fee of $630 (for individual) student visa applications, as well as for dependents, will be refunded by the Australian government.

These changes will also apply for new applications, which will be processed quickly so applicants can come to Australia during the refund window.
